Terms of Use

This is a courtesy translation. The Portuguese version is the legally binding one and prevails in case of divergence.

These Terms explain the basic rules for using KidEntry. They were written to be practical: the platform helps organizations register children, guardians and staff, control entry and exit, browse lists, work offline when needed and manage subscription plans.

1. Acceptance of the terms

By accessing or using KidEntry, you confirm that you have read these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you are using it on behalf of an organization, you declare that you are authorized to operate the account, register data and instruct internal users.

2. Permitted use

KidEntry must be used for legitimate purposes of organization, safety, care, attendance, identification, pickup and communication. The organization is responsible for checking the accuracy of the data entered, keeping its users trained and defining who can access each function.

It is not allowed to use the platform for undue surveillance, discrimination, public exposure of children, abusive messaging, attempts to access another organization's data, malicious reverse engineering or any illegal activity.

3. Accounts, passwords and devices

Every user must protect their password, session and device. The organization must remove or change access when someone leaves the team, changes role or no longer needs a given permission.

4. Children's and guardians' data

The organization must register only the data necessary for KidEntry's purpose, inform guardians where applicable and record the consents required by data protection law — especially for children's data, images, health, specific needs and pickup restrictions.

KidEntry provides the technical features, but decisions about collecting, updating, retaining and deleting data rest with the organization and with the laws that apply to each case.

5. Check-in, pickup and offline operation

Entry and exit records help the team track who is present and who may pick a child up. These records depend on correct use by the team and do not replace in-person safety protocols, identity checks or compliance with the organization's rules.

Offline mode may store data temporarily on the device and send pending actions once the connection returns. The organization must use trusted, protected devices, since locally cached data can be reachable by whoever controls the device.

6. Payments and plans

Paid plans can be purchased and managed through Stripe. KidEntry may store customer, subscription, price, status and billing period identifiers, but full card data is handled by Stripe. Feature availability may vary by plan, payment status, contracted limits and trial period.

7. Email, storage and notifications

The platform may use services configured by the operator, such as AWS SES or SMTP for email, S3-compatible storage for images and files, Stripe for billing and FCM/APNs for push notifications. These services enable product features and must be configured with their own protected credentials.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep KidEntry available, but maintenance, internet failures, vendor outages or bugs may occur. We may change features, fix problems, adjust limits and update these Terms. Relevant changes will be communicated through reasonable product or contractual channels.

9. Responsibilities

The organization remains responsible for its in-person procedures, the quality of the data it registers, the legal basis for processing, user management and responding to guardians and data subjects. KidEntry does not replace legal review, internal policy, physical access control or adult supervision.

10. Termination and deletion

Accounts or access may be suspended in case of misuse, security risk, non-payment or breach of these Terms. Deletion requests are handled according to the Privacy Policy, legal obligations, child safety and the need to keep audit records for a reasonable period.
